In 1 Corinthians 3:6-7, NKJV, Paul says: 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. When we understand this Truth about The Good News , all the weight of self assumed expectations rolls off our shoulders and lands at the feet of Jesus. Now, while it is important to know and live out The Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19 and Mark 16:15-18 to Go into all the world and preach The Good News to everyone. Knowing that God is the Only One who brings the increase Is crucial in understanding our purpose in His eternal plan. When we till the ground, plant, and water the seed, we are one in doing so. But, we're never the one's who bring the increase. We have Co-Union or Communion with God in these matters to shine bright in a world full of darkness and should always remember all the weight and power to bring the increase belongs to God. With the understanding that prayer is amazing and God can do anything. Including giving you a sign or shining a light on someone. We must understand the way God designed The Good News to be shared. Sometimes it's so simple, it's complicated. God calls His children to be filled with The Light and become a light that shines and He gives the ability to perform miracles and miraculous signs through us in a world filled with darkness. The great flaw with waiting on a light or sign to shine on someone Before we decide to approach  and  Talk with them is this. You are the light! You are the sign! If we spend all our time praying for God to shine a light on someone or highlight them, then we are missing the point of The Good News . Remember, God so loved the world! That's EVERYONE!   The Kingdom of God works in Seed form and it always and only produces after It's Own Kind. If you plant sunflower seeds, you will get sunflowers. If you plant apple seeds, you will get an apple tree and it will produce apples. NOT Pecans! If your apple tree produces pecans, guess what? It's not an apple tree. It's a pecan tree.
